I am amazed, as most Americans are that this is all happening so fast! Alas, we told them that the agenda was going to be more liberal, and socialist than would be desired. Frankly I just don't get the "unrest" of some of these "democrats." Uh, were things that bad, they felt the need to look for CHANGE? And unfortunately, clearly no one knew what sort of CHANGE they wanted, or what sort of CHANGE they were going to get...but they wanted it! In the last decade, I was a single mother, and that social net NEVER WORKED FOR ME. I lived in a Chicago Land suburb - luxury apartment complex...and there was SECTION 8 (welfare, housing support) people living all around me. My 3 year old and I left the apartment each day for work and school (no subsidy ever received for expensive childcare). It was very upsetting seeing the "neighbors" with flowers on their patios - and I never could afford them - but the welfare people could. I just don't see that life's been that bad - if you wanted work you could get it! If you wanted college - you could get it! We were safe! There were NO terrorism threats. And ya' know what I don't care if the FBI wants to listen to me talk to my husband - about groceries! Now I do fear however that there are people in the Gov't that will misuse that ability. I'm rambling...I need to organize these thoughts a bit more!!!
