I can not believe this is happening - it's the redistribution of wealth - the government, the federal government is giving money / rebate to individuals that give their "CLUNKERS" in for trade. If you drive a Suburban, you can get 4500 from the government to lower your gas consumption....by only 4 gallons per mile! $4500 dollars. They're giving money away??? (Did you realize this is your money??? This is your tax monay!)
Chairman Waxman announced that the committee had found common ground on a proposal entitled "cash for Clunkers," and the President commended the members for moving forward a plan that will help the American auto industry and provide Americans with cleaner automobiles.
